You are invited to attend a joint WEAU/AWWA YP tour of Metro Water’s Little Cottonwood Water Treatment Plant. Attendance is free but please register so we have an accurate headcount. The Little Cottonwood Water Treatment Plant was completed in 1960 with a capacity of 113 MGD. In 2007, the plant was expanded to 143 MGD, adding a 9‑million‑gallon treated water reservoir, ozone disinfection, a new diversion structure, improved mixing and flocculation, and upgraded raw water screening and grit removal.

We will meet at 9:00am and begin with a tour of the facility. If you have time after the tour, please plan on joining us for lunch offsite as a group.
